A SOUTHPORT business hosted a charity night to raise money for Community Link Foundation.
Lynn Thompson Lettings, based on Post Office Avenue, held the event at Genting Casino on the Promenade on Friday night.
The evening raised around £5,500 for Community Link Foundation which they can distribute to worthy causes in the local community.
Eighty five people attended the event and were entertained by Paula Delaney, also known as Amy Housewine. There was also a silent auction with some amazing prizes up for grabs. A trip to Marrakech raised more than £1,300.
Joel Thompson, manager at Lynn Thompson Lettings, is a board member of the Community Link Foundation so wanted to hold this event to help the charity that he sees first hand helping so many across the area.
Joel said: “It was a really, really good night. We loved hosting the event knowing that the money raised is going to be distributed to local people and organisations who need it.
“Amy Housewine was brilliant and had everyone up dancing into the early hours. The silent auction went really well too, and we are very grateful to everyone who donated a prize for us to auction.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to Genting Casino and all the staff who went above and beyond to make sure everyone was looked after and had a great night. The staff were incredible and we’re grateful for everything they did to make this event go so well.”
