Happy Mondays for the Ormskirk St Anne’s Monday Club

A lively church pensioners club has been given a generous grant by the Community Link Foundation to fund a variety of activities over the next few months.

Enda Rylands, Chair of the charity is pictured with a few of its 20 members at the St Anne’s Parochial Centre following the handover of a cheque for £400 which will be used to help fund a Halloween supper and a pre Christmas trip to the popular Bents garden centre near Leigh, Lancashire.

Enda handed over the cheque to Joyce Hunter after she contacted local community fundraiser Roger Blaxall who was delighted to help with the application.

“This is a wonderful gesture by the charity and very gratefully received,” she said after Monday afternoon’s presentation.
