Thank you for your generosity in supporting
Community Link Foundation.
Without your support, our charity wouldn’t be able to continue supporting so many good causes in our region.
The Community Link Foundation is in need of some Volunteers to assist in some upcoming fundraising activity. We are a small locally based charity who relies on support from local people to allow us to raise as much money as possible.
Due to some amazing work by the charity organisations, schools and events such as Merseyrail, Southport Fashion Show and Churchtown School have nominated us as their Charity of the Year which presents us with opportunities to raise funds and awareness at their events and this is where we need help.
We have 3 events coming up where we require some help:
First up on the 27th March is Churchtown School Farmers Market – we are looking for local people to bake for us, cakes, buns, tarts, or even Jams. We are looking for homemade products which we can sell on the day to raise money. We have a team of parents and children to do the selling we just need some delicious produce. All cakes and buns would need to be dropped in at our offices on Houghton Street on the morning of the 27th. If you are interested in baking for your community please contact us to let us know in advance so that we can ensure that we have enough to satisfy demand.
Next up on the 29th March is Southport Fashion Show at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre, this is a must see event for anyone with an interest in fashion, on the day we have a stall where again we will look to sell some homemade cakes but also sell raffle tickets for the grand prize draw on the day with some fabulous prizes and all proceeds from raffle are going to Community Link Foundation, so please let us know if you could spare a little time on the day.
Lastly through our association with Merseyrail we have been offered the opportunity to do some bucket collections at a selection of their stations during the Grand National Festival from 9th – 11th April and we are after volunteers to help man these collection points at various times during the day, this is a great opportunity for us to create more awareness for what we do but we need some support from individuals and businesses to make the most of this opportunity. If you are available on any of the days please email erylands@clfoundation.co.uk or contact 07913253872 and we will add you to the list.
These are great opportunities for anybody to get involved with a local charity and help to make a difference on their own doorstep. Please get in touch.
