Role Description
Reports to: Trustees
Community Link Foundation is a local charity with a difference; we assist residents in Southport and surrounding areas who need financial support in a variety of ways. We have a passion for supporting the people and organisations within our community and invest in the people who live in it so that we can be proud of where we live.
Whether you are a parent with a child requiring assistance as part of an on-going illness or disease, a sports team in need of new equipment to benefit local young people or a community group that needs financial support for supplies or materials, Community Link Foundation can help those who need it most.
About the Ambassador Volunteer Role:
To work with the Trustees and to attend cheque presentations on behalf of the Charity, to thank supporters and say a few words about how the money raised will help to make a difference.
Main Duties:
∙ Travelling to cheque presentations and fundraising events on behalf of Community Link Foundation.
∙ Delivering talks to local Community Groups, including faith groups, Rotary Clubs and Women’s Institute groups about the work of Community Link Foundation and the ways in which they can support us and help us achieve our goals.
∙ Look after our fundraising and information stands at local events.
∙ You will be the ‘face’ of the Charity locally and will be able to raise awareness of the work Community Link Foundation carries out and how the public can support us.
About you:
We are looking for people who are:
∙ Approachable, friendly and enthusiastic
∙ Flexible and can offer a couple of hours each month
∙ Ability to stand up for a couple of hours at a time Fundraising
∙ Confident public speaker with excellent communication skills
∙ Excellent organisational skills
∙ Honest and reliable nature
∙ Ability to use your own initiative and to work unsupervised
Applicants will require access to their own vehicle for this role, as there may be occasions when you will need to take resources and materials such as large vinyl banners with you, trustees will be able to discuss these opportunities with you.
